Product uses
Folic acid belongs to the vitamin B group. Folic acid
Tablets can be used:
to cure:
- Anemia due to folic acid deficiency caused by malnutrition.Food malabsorption or digestive upset
- Use of folic acid in the body (as in pregnancy)
To prevent:
Folic acid deficiency caused by certain medications (such as

How to use the product
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any product
Swallow the tablets with water.
Dosages:
Adults (including the elderly):
• For the treatment of anemia caused by a deficiency of folic acid:
5 mg per day for 4 months, which can be increased up to
15 mg max per day.
• To prevent folic acid deficiency caused by some

5 mg per day for 4 months, which can be increased up to
15 mg max per day.
• To prevent folic acid deficiency caused by long-term red color
Damage to blood cells or dialysis:
5 mg every 1-7 days.
• Prevention of neural tube defects in children, where

5 mg per day from before conception until during the first trimester.

5 mg daily until delivery.
Use in children and adolescents:
• For the treatment of anemia caused by a deficiency of folic acid:
Children 1 to 18 years of age: 5 mg daily for 4 months. The maintenance dose is 5 mg every 1-7 days.
• For the treatment of hemolytic and metabolic anemias
Disorders:
Children 1-12 years old: 2.5 mg-5 mg once a day.
Children 12 to 18 years of age: 5-10 mg once a day.
• To prevent folic acid deficiency in hemodialysis:
Children 1-12 years old: 250 micrograms per kilogram body
Weight (maximum 10 mg) once a day.
Children 12 to 18 years of age: 5-10 mg once a day.
Dosages can be changed in some cases under the supervision of a doctor

Warnings and side effects
Do not take folic acid tablets and tell a doctor if you have:
Allergy (hypersensitivity) to folic acid
