Mesalazine or mesalamine is an aminosalicylate derivative, anti-inflammatory. Its mechanism of action is unknown, but it is believed to inhibit the production of a number of substances important in the inflammatory process.
What are the uses of Pentaza enema?
It is used orally or rectally in the treatment of acute attacks of ulcerative colitis (in mild to moderate cases), as well as in the treatment of inflammation of the rectum and/or sigmoid colon.
What are the contraindications of using Pentaza enema?
It is contraindicated in patients who have shown hypersensitivity to mesalazine, to salicylates, to other treatments containing sulfonamides or to any other component of the treatment.

The side effects of treatment depend on their severity and type, on the dose used and the way the treatment is taken. Side effects of ivory: headache. Abdominal pain, belching, nausea, diarrhea. rash. Laryngitis.
