What is Panderm?
It is a combination of anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-itching and anti-bacterial
It is used to control the symptoms and signs of skin infections for a long time
Nystatin has a bactericidal effect on Candida fungi, especially Candida albicans
Neomycin and Gramicidin have a common effect against many types of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, and it was possible to overcome the problem of bacterial resistance to treatment by adding them together
Active ingredients:
Nystatin plus neomycin plus gramicidin plus triamcinolone acetonide
Indications:
Allergic eczema
Contact eczema
Eczema of the hair follicles
Baby eczema
Round eczema
Infectious eczema after wounds
Seborrheic eczema
Stasis eczema
otitis externa
Itching of the anal genital area
Neurodermatitis
psoriasis
Contraindications:
Cutaneous tuberculosis and most viral skin infections, especially herpes simplex and smallpox, as well as fungal infections that are not affected by nystatin.
In patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the ointment
It should not be used for cases of pink face, acne or perioral dermatitis.
It should not be applied to the external auditory canal in patients with a perforated eardrum.
These products should not be used over large areas due to potential hazards
Eyes or mucous membranes should be avoided
It should not be used in children under one year of age
The side effects:
In normal doses, there is no harm to the body's systems, but some allergy symptoms may appear sometimes to neomycin and gramicidin
Side effects include increased heat and redness of the area, hypopigmentation, and hypersensitivity reactions
The patient should minimize excessive dryness or peeling that occurs by reducing the frequency of application
Diseases that may occur due to increased absorption of the drug into the body through the skin should be considered, as is the case with other steroids.
This may include: Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycemia, and glycosuria in some patients
