What is lisinopril and what is it used for?

Lisinopril belongs to a group of medicines called ACE inhibitors.

It can be used for the following conditions:

• To treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

• For the treatment of heart failure.

• If you have recently had a heart attack (myocardial infarction).

• To treat kidney problems caused by type 2 diabetes in people with high blood pressure.

It works by making blood vessels widen. This helps lower blood pressure. It also makes it easier for your heart to pump blood to all parts of your body.

How does Zestrilpril work?

    Zestrilpril belongs to the ACE inhibitors, a class of drugs primarily used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. They work by causing blood vessels to relax and widen as well as a decrease in blood volume, which leads to lower blood pressure and decreased oxygen consumption by the heart

    In addition, zestrilpril inhibited the conversion of angiotensin I into angiotensin II and inhibited the degradation of vasodilating prostaglandins, which decreased vasoconstriction, which is regulated by angiotensin II, and promoted vasodilatation.

What are the side effects of Lysino 5 mg tablets?

    Headache.

    Feeling dizzy or lightheaded, especially if you stand up quickly.

    Diarrhea.
