Treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases or conditions associated with abnormal mucous secretions and their elimination
What are the uses of Ezolvin?
This medicine is used in the treatment of cases of cough accompanied by sputum, as it helps to dissolve sputum and reduce its viscosity, and thus helps to treat the following conditions:
Colds.
flu.
Bronchitis.
Respiratory infections.
Precautions
Anaphylaxis: Anaphylactic reactions have been reported with the use of ambroxol, a metabolite of bromhexine.
Increased secretions: An increase in mucus secretions may occur
Severe Skin Reactions: Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), and acute generalized exanthematous exanthema have been associated with the use of Promexin. While early manifestations of SJS/TEN are rare, they may include nonspecific flu-like symptoms (eg, fever, pain, rhinitis, cough, sore throat) that are often treated with regimens including mucolytics, and it is difficult to discern a causal link; Appearance of new skin/mucosal lesions should prompt discontinuation of bromhexine and immediate evaluation
