Indications

Hydroquinone is used to lighten the skin on areas that are subject to discoloration due to freckles, melasma (brown spots on the skin), acne scars, or age spots.

Do not use hydroquinone

If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Caveats and precautions

Tell your doctor about all of your health conditions.

It is important to use sunscreen while being treated with hydroquinone. It may affect the effect of this medicine.

Test the cream on a small area of your skin before using it on larger areas.

Hydroquinone use may result in a gradual darkening of the skin to a bluish-black colour. If this happens, stop using it and talk to your doctor.

Possible side effects

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if you develop a rash; Itch

red, blistered, or peeling skin; chest or throat tightness; Difficulty breathing, swallowing or speaking

Unusual hoarseness or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency with which these side effects occur is not known
