Clexane is one of the drugs available on the market that contains the active ingredient lexaparin. Clexane injection is used to prevent blood clotting in people with or at high risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT).

How to inject Clexane
As for how to inject Clexane, it is given either intravenously or injected under the skin. What are the uses of Clexane?
Anaxaparin is used for:

What are the contraindications of using Clexane?
Anxaparin is contraindicated in the following cases:
Allergy to heparin or other low molecular weight heparins.
Bacterial infection of the heart valves and lining around the heart, a condition called bacterial endocarditis.
The person has active bleeding, or a higher risk of uncontrolled bleeding, for example, the person has a blood-clotting disorder called hemophilia.
Active peptic ulcer.
Having a personal history of a stroke caused by bleeding in the brain, which is called a hemorrhagic stroke.
Decreased number of platelets in the blood.
Liver disease.
Severe and uncontrolled high blood pressure.
It is also not recommended to use Anaxaparin in children.
What are the precautions for using Clexane?
During treatment with lexaparin, regular blood tests should be done to monitor the numbers of blood cells called platelets in the blood. The level of potassium in the blood should also be monitored, especially if treatment continues for more than 7 days.
Anaxaparin should be used with caution in the following cases:
Patients over the age of 80.
Patients who are underweight or overweight.
Renal function decline and chronic renal failure.
decreased liver function.
Patients who have previously had low platelet counts due to treatment with heparin or low molecular weight heparin.
People with problems stopping bleeding.
Having a personal history of peptic ulcer or stroke caused by a blood clot in the brain.
Having diabetes or diabetic retinopathy.
People who have recently had eye surgery or surgery on the brain or spinal cord.
High level of potassium in the blood.
Increase in blood acidity in pregnant women.
