Albothyl Suppositories

It is a vaginal suppository that contains policresulen, which has anti-infective and anti-inflammatory properties. This medicine is used as a topical treatment for many gynaecological conditions that affect the vagina and cervix.

Indications:

• Topical treatment of inflammation or infection of the vagina and cervix, and tissue damage.
• As a treatment in between cauterization operations, after initial treatment with albothyl concentrate.

How to Use:

• Use one suppository vaginally every two days, or as directed by your doctor.
• The suppository is placed in the evening before bed, and it can be wetted with water to facilitate its entry deep into the vagina.
• It is preferable that the woman be in the supine position when the suppository is inserted.

Warnings and Precautions:

• You should avoid using soaps that cause irritation, as well as avoiding sexual intercourse during the treatment period.
• This medicine is not effective against HIV infection or other sexually transmitted infections.
• It should not be used during the menstrual cycle.

• Feeling of burning and irritation of the area.
• Vaginal dryness.
