Mechanism of action of Vapodrops
When you suck on a lozenge, it starts to dissolve and release medicine.

It is intended to dissolve slowly in the mouth to temporarily suppress the cough, and lubricate and soothe irritated tissues of the throat.

Some have medications that help fight colds, and most have anesthetic to help ease the pain.



Therapeutic Indications of Vapodrops
It is used for the topical treatment of gingivitis, oral infections, sores, fungal infections, inflammation of the oral cavity as a result of dental procedures, inflammation of the tongue, tonsils and nasopharynx to maintain hygiene.



Method of Administration of Vapodrops
Dissolve one tablet in the mouth 3 times daily after meals, with an interval between doses of 2 hours.
Children from 5–12 years: 1/2 to one tablet twice daily.
Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.


Undesirable Side Effects of Vapodrops
Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from:
Change in taste

increase in tartar (calculus) on teeth.

staining of teeth, mouth, tooth fillings, and dentures or other mouth appliances.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Your doctor will discuss the possible risks and benefits of using this medicine during pregnancy and breast-feeding.


Non-Pharmacological Treatments & Advices
Drink plenty of water.
Practice good oral hygiene to keep your mouth as clean as possible.
Rinse your mouth with warm saltwater a few times each day.
Avoid hot and spicy foods until the ulcer heals.


Warnings & Special Precautions while Taking Vapodrops
Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to benzocaine or to menthol; or to other "caine" anesthetics (such as procaine) or if you have any other allergies.
This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems.


Storage Conditions of Vapodrops
Store below 25.
Don’t freeze.
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label.
The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
