Tabuvan 160 mg reduces blood pressure and protects against complications of high blood pressure.
It contains the active ingredient valsartan 160mg.

To treat high blood pressure, take the tablet once each day.
For adults with heart disease, take the tablet twice each day.
Your doctor will likely start you on a low dose of valsartan and may increase your dose during treatment.
The tablets can be taken with or without food

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is nearly time for your next dose

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiration date refers to the last day of the month.
What are the normal numbers for your health?
The normal level of blood pressure is less than 120/80 mmHg
High blood pressure: when the systolic pressure reading is 120-129 mmHg and the diastolic pressure is less than 80 mmHg
Level 1 hypertensive patient: when the systolic pressure reading is 130-139 mmHg or the diastolic pressure is 80-89 mmHg
Level 2 pressure patient: when the pressure reading is equal to 140/90 mm Hg or more
Hypertensive crisis, which is a serious condition that requires immediate hospitalization if the blood pressure is 120/180 mm Hg or more.
