Ponstan Forte 500 mg | 20 tablets

Ponstan Forte contains an active substance, mefenamic acid, which belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which work by inhibiting COX, the enzyme responsible for the manufacture of inflammatory and pain-causing substances.

Indications for use.

Relief of mild to moderate pain such as toothache, headache, or muscle aches.

Reducing post-operative pain, or childbirth.

Reduce symptoms of painful menstrual bleeding.

Reducing pain associated with swelling and arthritis.

How to  use.

For acute pain relief in adults and adolescents: The recommended dose is 500 mg as an initial dose, followed by 250 mg every 6 hours as needed. The duration of treatment does not exceed one week.

For the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea, the recommended dose is 500 mg as an initial dose, followed by 250 mg every 6 hours for no more than 2 to 3 days.

Warnings:

Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the ingredients.

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if you have a stomach ulcer.
