What are Otosan Ear Drops used for?
They are used to soften and remove ear wax build-up, relieve a blocked or itchy ear, and support the care of outer-ear inflammation (otitis externa), including swimmer's ear and irritation caused by cotton buds.

Why do oil-based ear drops remove ear wax better than water-based drops?
Ear wax is made of cholesterol, fatty acids and dead skin cells, so it is fatty by nature. Following the principle of "like dissolves like", an oil-based formula dissolves wax effectively, while water-based drops tend to slide over it.

What are the ingredients of Otosan Ear Drops?
To dissolve wax: Sweet almond, Blackcurrant and Borage oils. Antimicrobial: Propolis with Cajeput, Geranium, Juniper and Clove essential oils. Soothing and anti-inflammatory: Chamomile (Bisabolol) and Vitamin E.

Should I clean my ears with cotton buds?
Cotton buds can push wax deeper and cause micro-scratches in the ear canal, which opens the door to bacteria and outer-ear infection. Ear wax is the ear's first line of defence, so it should be softened and cleared gently rather than scraped.

How do I use Otosan Ear Drops?
Tilt your head, apply the drops into the ear canal as directed in the leaflet, and stay tilted for a moment so the oils spread and work on the wax.
