Active substances

Tamsulosin hydrochloride 0.4 mg is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist that is abundant in the muscles of the prostate.

Dutasteride, 0.5 mg, is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor

Indications

Treatment of moderate to severe symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia

Reduces the risk of urinary retention

If the patient is undergoing surgery and suffers from an enlarged prostate gland

Warnings and Precautions

Advise the patient not to donate blood during the use of the drug and for at least 6 months after the end of treatment, especially to donate to a pregnant woman, as this drug carries blood and causes birth defects in the fetus.

The drug affects reactions and impairs thinking, so it is recommended to avoid driving or performing actions that require alertness.

It is advised to avoid getting up or getting up quickly from a sitting or lying position, as this may cause dizziness.

Do not use dutasteride, tamsulosin:

If you are a child or adolescent under the age of 18.

If you are allergic to dutasteride, other 5-alpha reductase inhibitors, tamsulosin, soybeans, peanuts or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

If you have low blood pressure which makes you feel dizzy, lightheaded or faint (orthostatic hypotension).

If you have severe liver disease.

This medicine is for men only. It should not be taken by women, children, or adolescents.

dosing
The recommended dose for adults: Distasteride 0.5 mg / tamsulosin 0.4 mg, once a day, half an hour after a meal. It is preferable to take the drug every day at the same time.
