Active ingredients
It contains omeprazole, which belongs to a class of medications called proton pump inhibitors that reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach.
Indications
- gastroesophageal reflux disease
- Ulcers in the upper part of the intestine or stomach
- Ulcers in the stomach or upper part of the intestine that are infected with bacteria called H. pylori. In this case, the doctor may prescribe antibiotics.
- Stomach ulcers caused by medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
- Having a large amount of acid in the stomach
Warnings and precautions
- If you are allergic to omeprazole
- If you are allergic to similar medicines that contain an active ingredient that ends in -prazole such as omeprazole, pantoprazole, esomeprazole
- If you are taking medicines containing the active ingredient nelfinavir
Consult your doctor if you notice any of the following symptoms:
- Stomach pain or indigestion
- Vomiting food or blood
- black stool color
- If you get severe diarrhea
How to take the drug Aciloc
Treating GERD symptoms
The recommended dose is 20 mg once a day for 4-8 weeks
For the treatment of upper part ulcers
The recommended dose is 20 mg for two weeks. The doctor may prescribe another dose for another two weeks
If the ulcer does not heal completely, the dose may be increased to 40 mg
To treat stomach ulcers
The recommended dose is 20 mg once a day for 4 weeks. The doctor may prescribe the same dose for another 4 weeks.
For the treatment of gastric or duodenal ulcers caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
The recommended dose is 20 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them
If you notice any of the following serious side effects, stop using the medicine and contact your doctor immediately
- sudden wheezing in the chest swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or body, rash
- Skin redness with blisters or peeling There may also be severe blisters, bleeding, lips or eyes, mouth, nose and genitals

- Yellowing of the skin, dark urine, tiredness and may be symptoms of liver problems, which are very rare
- This medicine may, in rare cases, affect the white blood cells, leading to immunodeficiency
- Severe liver problems or encephalopathy, which causes you to be confused and act strange, and it is very rare, it may reach one in 10,000
