How does Vallis work?
Levetiracetam is an anticonvulsant used to treat various types of epileptic seizures
Levetiracetam works in several ways, such as by blocking calcium channels, and indirectly stimulating the action of the neurotransmitter GABA, which acts as a buffer for overactivity in the brain.
Indications
It is usually used as an adjunctive therapy to treat various types of seizures (abnormal electrical connections in the brain) in children and adults.
Tips for the patient
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Dosages may change from patient to patient based on their age, medical condition, and whether or not they are taking other medications.
Continue to take your medicine for as long as your doctor tells you to.
Do not stop taking the medication or lower the dose without first consulting your doctor. Suddenly stopping the medication or lowering the dose may cause unwanted side effects or make your condition worse.
Take your dose with or without food.
Take at the same time each day.
Swallow the tablets with a full glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablets
